Love-a-Thon Mini Challenge 4: Sweethearts Candy Messages

- You’ve received a box of Sweethearts candy, and you’re asked to share the candy with a person or couple – fictional or real. Tell us who you’d give these messages to:

- LOVE YOU: The character that gets your undying love
- love wins: Alanna of Trebond and George Cooper certainly had their obstacles they got together in the end and make a perfect couple.
- I do: I would marry Jem Carstairs in a second. Reading the Infernal Devices I was torn between Jem and Will, I was very fond of both of them, but I have always had a soft spot for Jem. Jem is so sweet I bet he would think of a very thoughtful and personal proposal, one you’d see on one of those “How He Asked” websites.
- dream big: Jane Eyre is one of my favourite books and I just love her character. All Jane really wants is a family and to be loved and you really root for her to find that love and acceptance.
- crazy 4 you: I am definitely crazy about Harry Potter. 16 years after I read Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone and I still love Harry and his world and he is a permanent fixture in my life.
- true love: It is hard to choose who my ultimate OTP is (I have so many!) but the couple I rooted for the longest has to be Ron and Hermione.
- te amo: Instead of using an example from a book, I have an IRL example for this one. My boyfriend and I met while we were doing our MA in the same program, Classical Studies. My boyfriend is a poet at heart and he often write little poems for me as gifts for birthdays and Valentine’s Day. A number of the poems were composed in ancient Greek and they are just lovely. I feel lucky that I AM wooed in several languages by my boyfriend <3
- bff: I would want Keladry of Mindelan, from Tamora Pierce’s Protector of the Small quartet, to be my best friend.
- wink wink: I would love to have Jace Wayland wink at me ;)
- sweet talk: Nealan of Queenscove, from Tamora Pierce’s Protector of the Small quartet, often gets in trouble for his smart mouth and for flirting!
- best day: My favourite moment from a book has to be the Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I would love to go to a ball...
- ooh la la: I would like to dance with Peter Pan, walking in the midair amidst the faeries in the moonlight, the way Wendy does in the 2003 film (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RexSlaSnFrk). I am way too old for Peter now but this scene really stands out in my memory. That or I would like to dance a quadrille (and argue) with Mr. Darcy.
- love you: Harry Potter will always be my favourite book series and my favourite character.
